Pirates option Pedro Ciriaco

Rob Biertempfel tweets that the Pirates will option seldom-used infielder Pedro Ciriaco to AAA-Indianapolis. This probably is just to open the doorway and make room for SS Ronny Cedeno to come off the disabled list in time for this weekend’s series against the Cardinals. Nothing has been made official yet about the corresponding, move, though.

Daniel Moskos optioned to AAA; Joe Beimel to be activated

Rob Biertempfel of the Trib tweets that the Pirates have optioned LHP Daniel Moskos to AAA-Indianapolis. Joe Beimel will be activated from the disabled list and take his spot on the roster for Friday’s game. Moskos is currently 1-0 with a 3.12 ERA, however he really has not done a good job against left handers
