Pirates option Pedro Ciriaco

Rob Biertempfel tweets that the Pirates will option seldom-used infielder Pedro Ciriaco to AAA-Indianapolis. This probably is just to open the doorway and make room for SS Ronny Cedeno to come off the disabled list in time for this weekend’s series against the Cardinals. Nothing has been made official yet about the corresponding, move, though.
