Final: Brewers 4, Pirates 1
It was like April and May all over again. Andrew McCutchen was 3 for 4 with a solo home run, his 21st of the year. The rest of the team was 2 for 28 with 17 strikeouts. It was an awful, awful game.
A.J. Burnett was on a roll, though, keeping the Bucs in it until things unravelled in the sixth inning. He gave up five hits and an error (Should have been four hits and two errors, but whatever) that led to four Milwaukee runs.
They now head to Colorado for a three-game set against the 34-54 Rockies. Hopefully that will make up for the series loss.
