6/7 MiLB Recap: Phil Irwin solid in start

Pawtucket 5, Indianapolis 3Jeff Karstens started in what was supposed to be his final rehab start, but he was pulled early due to a right groin injury [link]. Evan Meek threw a scoreless inning of relief. Chase d’Arnaud was 1 for 3 with a stolen base, his 12th. Gorkys Hernandez went 1 for 3 with a walk. Jeff Clement and Yamaico Navarro were both 1 for 4, each with a double. Tony Sanchez was 1 for 3 with a double.

Altoona 7, Reading 1Phil Irwin gave up just 1 run in 6 innings. He struck out 2 and walked 1. Brock Holt went 2 for 4 with a double, a walk, and a stolen base. Jarek Cunningham was 2 for 5. Quincy Latimore went 2 for 4. Jeremy Farrell was also 2 for 4.
