Everyone in action today.

Norfolk 3, Indianapolis 2Rudy Owens started and gave up 2 runs over 8 innings. He struck out 7 and walked 1. Jake Fox was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk. Jeff Clement went 1 for 4 with a double and a walk. Jordy Mercer was 2 for 6 with a double.

Erie 1, Altoona 0Kris Johnson started and pitched 5 scoreless innings. He struck out 4 and didn’t walk a batter. Jhonathan Ramos pitched 2 scoreless innings of relief. Brock Holt was 2 for 4 with a double. Matt Curry was 1 for 3 with a walk. Anthony Norman went 1 for 3 with a double.

Charlotte 3, Bradenton 2Colton Cain started and gave up 1 run over 6 innings. He struck out 5 and walked 1. Casey Sadler pitched 4 scoreless innings of relief. Jason Townsend pitched 3 scoreless innings. Evan Chambers was 2 for 6 with a walk. Mel Rojas went 2 for 6 with a walk. Dan Grovatt was 2 for 6 with a double and a walk. Wes Freeman went 3 for 6 with a double.

West Virginia 8, Asheville 5 – Nick Kingham gave up 4 runs over 5 innings with 5 strikeouts and 2 walks. Rinku Singh pitched 2 scoreless innings of relief. Alen Hanson was 1 for 5 with a double. Jose Osuna went 2 for 5 with a double. Dan Gamache was 2 for 5 with a double. Willy Garcia went 2 for 4 with a homer, his 4th of the season. Junior Sosa was 1 for 3 with a walk. Carlos Mesa went 3 for 4 with a double. Elias Diaz was 1 for 3 with a double.
