5/2 MiLB Recap: Matt Curry homers again

Everyone in action today including a WV double header.

Indianapolis 3, Norfolk 1Jo-Jo Reyes started and gave up 1 run over 5 innings. Bryan Morris pitched 3 2/3 scoreless innings of relief with 3 strikeouts. Jake Fox was 2 for 4. Jeff Clement went 1 for 4 with a double. Eric Fryer was 1 for 4 with a double. Gorkys Hernandez went 1 for 3 with a double and also threw a base runner out at home.

Altoona 11, Erie 8Matt McSwain started and gave up 2 runs over 5 innings. Duke Welker pitched 2 scoreless innings of relief. Robbie Grossman was 3 for 5 with a double, a triple, a walk, and a stolen base. Brock Hole went 1 for 4 with 2 walks and a homer, his 1st of the year. Tony Sanchez was 2 for 5 with a HBP. Matt Curry went 2 for 6 with a double and a home run, his 2nd of the season and 2nd in as many days. Ramon Cabrera was 2 for 6. Jeremy Farrell went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 walks. Elevys Gonzalez was 1 for 4 with a double and a walk.

Bradenton 4, Charlotte 3Tyler Waldron started and gave up 1 run over 6 innings with 4 strikeouts and 1 walk. Josh Poytress pitched 2 scoreless innings of relief. Alex Dickerson was 1 for 2 with 2 walks. Stefan Welch went 1 for 4 with a home run, his 3rd of the year. Mel Rojas, Justin Howard, and Dan Grovatt were all 1 for 4 with a double. Francisco Diaz went 1 for 3.

Asheville 6, West Virginia 3Zack Dodson started and gave up 6 runs over 3 1/3 innings. Alen Hanson was 1 for 3 with a walk. Jose Osuna went 1 for 2 with 2 walks. Willy Garcia was 1 for 4 with a home run, his 3rd of the year. Chris Lashmet went 1 for 3 with a triple. Kirk Singer was 1 for 3. Jodaneli Carvajal and Dan Gamache were each 1 for 1.

West Virginia 5, Asheville 3Mike Jefferson started and gave up 3 runs (2 earned) over 5 innings. He struck out 5 and walked 1. Alen Hanson was 2 for 4 with a double. Chris Lashmet went 1 for 3. Jose Osuna was 1 for 3 with a double. Kirk Singer went 2 for 3 with a double. Jon Schwind was 1 for 3.
