5/11 MiLB Recap: Gift showing some pop

Everyone in action today.

Indianapolis 4, Norfolk 1Daniel Cabrera gave up 1 run over 6 innings. Doug Slaten pitched a scoreless 9th inning to drop his ERA to 0.51. Chase d’Arnaud was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. Gorkys Hernandez went 2 for 3. Matt Hague was 2 for 4. Jose Morales and Miles Durham were both 1 for 3.

Erie 7, Altoona 3Phil Irwin started and gave up 4 runs over 5 innings. He struck out 1 and walked 2. Robbie Grossman was 1 for 5 with a double. Brock Holt went 2 for 5 with a double. Ramon Cabrera was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. Jeremy Farrell went 1 for 3 with a walk and a homer, his 1st of the year.

Clearwater 4, Bradenton 3Hunter Strickland started and gave up 2 runs in 3 innings. Eliecer Navarro gave up a run over 4 innings of relief. Jeff Inman pitched 2 scoreless innings. Gift Ngoepe was 3 for 5 with a homer, his 4th of the year. Mel Rojas was 2 for 5. Stefan Welch went 2 for 5 with a double.

Charleston 8, West Virginia 4 - Ryan Hafner started and gave up 2 runs over 4 1/3 innings. Dan Gamache was 2 for 4 with a double. Gregory Polanco went 2 for 4 with a double. Carlos Mesa was 1 for 4 with a double.
