5/10 MiLB Recap: Jameson Taillon continues to cruise

Everyone in action tonight.

Lehigh Valley 5, Indianapolis 1Jeff Locke started and gave up 5 runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out 2 and walked 2. Evan Meek and Doug Slaten each pitched a scoreless inning of relief. Chase d’Arnaud and Gorkys Hernandez were both 2 for 4. Jordy Mercer was 1 for 4 to extend his hitting streak to 11 games.

Erie 8, Altoona 4Nathan Baker started and gave up 3 runs over 5 innings. Duke Welker pitched a scoreless inning of relief. Robbie Grossman was 2 for 4 with a double and a walk. Tony Sanchez went 2 for 4 with a double and a walk. Ramon Cabrera was 3 for 5 with a homer, his 1st of the year. Charles Cutler and Quincy Latimore were both 1 for 4 with a double.

Bradenton 16, Clearwater 3Jameson Taillon started and pitched 6 scoreless innings. He struck out 3 and walked 1. Drew Maggi was 2 for 4 with a double and a walk. Mel Rojas went 2 for 4 with a walk. Alex Dickerson was 2 for 4 with a double and a walk. Carlos Paulino went 2 for 4. Stefan Welch was 3 for 5 with a double and a homer, his 5th of the year. Wes Freeman went 1 for 4 with a homer, his 1st of the season. Dan Grovatt was 1 for 3 with a walk and a homer, his 3rd of the year. Justin Howard went 1 for 3 with a double.
