Indianapolis 6, Norfolk 4 – Daniel Cabrera made his first AAA start and gave up 3 runs over 3 2/3 innings. He struck out 1 and walked 4. The new daddy, Daniel McCutchen, pitched 2 1/3 scoreless innings of relief. Starling Marte was 2 for 5 with a double. Matt Hague “collected” 2 hits in 5 at-bats. Jake Fox was 1 for 3 with 2 walks. Jordy Mercer went 3 for 5. Jose Morales was 2 for 4 with a double.
Altoona 7, Erie 3 – Brandon Cumpton started and pitched 6 innings while giving up 3 runs. He struck out 5 and walked 1. Tim Alderson pitched 3 scoreless innings of relief with 4 strikeouts and 1 walk. Brock Holt was 2 for 5 with a double and a triple. Tony Sanchez was 1 for 4 with a double and a walk. Matt Curry went 1 for 4 with a homer, his 1st of the year. Jeremy Farrell was 2 for 4 with a double. Quincy Latimore went 2 for 4. Kelson Brown was 1 for 2 with 2 walks.
Charlotte 4, Bradenton 1 – Eliecer Navarro started and gave up 2 runs over 5 innings. He struck out 5 and didn’t walk a batter. Porfirio Lopez pitched 4 innings of relief and gave up 2 runs (1 earned). Alex Dickerson was 1 for 2 with 2 walks. Stefan Welch went 2 for 3 with a walk. Ben Grovatt and Benji Gonzalez were both 1 for 3.
