Minor league OF Josh Bell had surgery today on the meniscus in his left knee. He is expected to return to action later this year after rehab

Earlier this week, we learned that Josh Bell had tweaked his knee in a game for the West Viginia Power.

Bell ended up getting an MRI and had surgery in Pittsburgh to repair his meniscus in his knee. He will report to Bradenton to begin his rehab and is expected to rejoin West Virginia later this season.

Obviously, no injury is good, especially one that makes you miss a substantial amount of time. But with Bell being able to still get some playing time in before this season is up, it hopefully will not mess with his development too much. He is still very young (19) and should not be derailed from an injury like this.
