RHP Jared Hughes has been recalled for today’s doubleheader against Colorado.

Due to the new CBA signed over the off-season, teams are able to add a 26th man to their rosters for double headers. The Pirates’ have chosen reliever Jared Hughes to be that man.

Hughes has a 2.08 ERA over 8 2/3 innings so far the season for the Pirates. He was recently sent down to AAA when A.J. Burnett was activated from the disabled list.
