4/29 MiLB Recap: Indians pitch no-no, Jameson Taillon dominant

Everyone in action today, including an Altoona double header.

Indianapolis 2, Durham 0Justin Wilson started and pitched 7 1/3 no-hit innings. He struck out 9 and walked 2. Jose Diaz and Doug Slaten finished up the no-hitter. Starling Marte was 1 for 4 with a homer, his 2nd of the year. Jake Fox went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. Nick Evans was 2 for 4. Gorkys Hernandez went 2 for 3 with a double.

Akron 4, Altoona 3Kris Johnson started and pitched 3 scoreless innings. Shairon Martis tossed 3 scoreless innings. Victor Black pitched 2 scoreless innings of relief with 3 strikeouts. Adalberto Santos was 2 for 6. Matt Curry went 0 for 2 with 3 walks.

Akron 3, Altoona 2Mike Colla started and gave up 2 runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out 7 and walked 3. Kelson Brown was 2 for 3 with a double. Ramon Cabrera, Matt Curry, and Quincy Latimore were all 1 for 3. Charles Cutler went 2 for 3 with a double.

Bradenton 4, Jupiter 1Jameson Taillon started and pitched 6 scoreless innings. He struck out 4 and gave up 3 hits and 1 walk. Quinton Miller pitched a scoreless inning of relief with 2 strikeouts. Mel Rojas was 2 for 5 with a stolen base. Carlos Paulino went 2 for 4 with a double. Wes Freeman was 1 for 3 with a HBP.

Greensboro 9, West Virginia 4Ryan Hafner started and gave up 4 runs over 3 2/3 innings. Rinku Singh pitched 2 1/3 innings of relief giving up just 1 unearned run. Alen Hanson was 3 for 5 with a double. Gregory Polanco went 1 for 5 with a homer, his 5th of the season. Willy Garcia was 1 for 3. Junior Sosa went 2 for 2. Chris Lashmet was 1 for 2.
