4/11 MiLB Recap: Josh Bell hits 1st HR as pro

AA-Altoona was rained out today.

Indianapolis 8, Columbus 6Justin Wilson started and gave up 1 run over over 6 2/3 innings. He struck out 7 and didn’t walk a batter. Bryan Morris gave up 3 runs in 1 inning of relief. He did, though strike out the side and has struck out 8 batters this year in 2 1/3 innings. Do the math…yup. Starling Marte was 1 for 4. Jordy Mercer went 1 for 4 with a homer. Jeff Clement was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. Brandon Boggs went 1 for 3 with a homer and a walk. Eric Fryer was 2 for 4 with a double. Gorkys Hernandez went 2 for 4.

Palm Beach 10, Bradenton 4A.J. Burnett started and gave up 8 runs (5 earned) in 1 2/3 innings. More on his start here. Tyler Waldron gave up 1 run over 4 innings. Mel Rojas Jr was 1 for 5. Evan Chambers went 2 for 4. Alex Dickerson was 3 for 4.

Asheville 10, West Virginia 6 – Mike Jefferson started and gave up 6 runs (5 earned) over 3 1/3 innings. Trent Stevenson gave up 1 unearned run over 2 2/3 innings of relief. He struck out 3 and didn’t walk a batter. Alen Hanson was 1 for 5. Josh Bell was 2 for 4 with a homer. Gregory Polanco went 1 for 4 with a homer. Jose Osuna was 2 for 4.
