Harrison, Hague continue to hit in 6-5 win over BoSox

Matt “The Hit Collector” Hague went 2 for 3 with a 2-run homer [video], his 3rd of the spring. Hague survived the last round of cuts and is still in the running for an outside shot at nabbing one of the club’s final bench spots.

Josh Harrison, who is also competing for one of the last bench spots went 2 for 3 with his 6th double of the spring. He did, however, make 2 costly base running errors as he was tagged out over sliding 2nd base twice.

Andrew McCutchen was 1 for 2 with an RBI single, his 10th runner driven in this spring. Nate McLouth relieved Cutch in CF and hit a 2-run homer [video] to RF, his 1st of the spring.

Kevin Correia entered the game with 9 scoreless innings this spring. He gave up 4 runs on 8 hits in 5 innings today. Joel Hanrahan pitched a scoreless inning of relief. Evan Meek pitched 2 innings and gave up 1 run on a solo home run. Juan Cruz finished things off with a scoreless 9th.
