A.J. Burnett has been diagnosed with an orbital fracture of his right eye…He will undergo surgery tomorrow in Pittsburgh.

Well, the news on Burnett’s injury probably could have been better after his examination in Pittsburgh today. Yesterday, newly acquired A.J. Burnett was hit in the right eye during a bunting competition.
Burnett will undergo surgery on the eye and until that is over, we will not know exactly how long this will sideline him. Most signs seem to point that Burnett will be out of game action for a 4-6 week span, which puts him in line to be ready for the start of the season (or very close to it). But there really isn’t any way of knowing until the surgery is done.
