BBA Ballot: NL MVP

I made this going from #1 to #10, but I'll start off with #10...

10) Matt Kemp - Los Angeles Dodgers
At just 24 years old, Kemp already is one of the best center fielders in baseball. An .842 OPS and 26 homers proves that.

9) Joey Votto - Cincinnati Reds
Living near Cincinnati, I get to see a lot of Reds games. There is no doubt in my mind that Cincinnati would have finished in last place in the NL Central if not for this guy and his .981 OPS.

8) Adrian Gonzalez - San Diego Padres
If Gonzalez weren't a Padre and playing half his games in Petco Park, he could have hit even more than his 40 homers.

7) Troy Tulowitzki - Colorado Rockies
Coors Field may help his numbers a bit, but there's no doubt Tulowitzki is one of the best short stops in the NL.

6) Tim Lincecum - San Francisco Giants
I normally don't give pitchers any love as far as the MVP award goes, but Lincecum's year this season deserves some credit.

5) Prince Fielder - Milwaukee Brewers
I hate the Brewers, but there is no denying Fielder and his 1.014 OPS deserves some recognition.

4) Ryan Zimmerman - Washington Nationals
The guy is only 24 and is already perhaps the best third baseman in the NL. Without him, the Nationals would have been awful...oh...wait a second...

3) Chase Utley - Philadelphia Phillies
Utley may go down as one of the best second baseman of all time. He is so consistently good, too, that it is impossible to see his success stop anytime soon.

2) Hanley Ramirez - Florida Marlins
At age 25 and with a .342 batting average, Ramirez already would be the best player in baseball if it weren't for this guy...

1) Albert Pujols - St. Louis Cardinals
The guy is super-human. He posted a ridiculous 1.101 OPS this season, which amazing enough, is his 5th best season of his career. He's the best hitter I, personally, have ever seen.
