The Pirates signed 2 more draft picks today as they locked up their 13th round pick, John Gourley, and their 18th round pick, Ryan Beckman.
Gourley, 18, is a shortstop who had a commitment to East Carolina. He was rated as the 18th best prospect in the state of North Carolina. His senior year at Goldsboro HS, he batted .477 with 4 HR in 88 AB. He'll report to the GCL Pirates.
Beckman, 19, was drafted out of Grayson County CC in Texas, the same school as fellow Pirate, Andy LaRoche. The only stats I can find on Beckman was that he was 4-1 with 2 saves in 29.2 IP this season.
