Chase D'Arnaud out for "several weeks"

Yesterday, Tim from BuccoFans.com pointed out that Lynchburg SS Chase D'Arnaud was missing his 2nd straight game. This led me to emailing the PG's Dejan Kovacevic to see if he knew anything about it. Turns out, he was able to find out.

D'Arnaud, 22, will be out for "several" weeks due to a sprained thumb ligament. He will have his thumb in a cast for a month and will then begin rehab. That means that it is possible D'Arnaud's season could be over considering Lynchburg's season ends September 7th. Hopefully, he'll be able to get a few games in before the offseason.

D'Arnaud, who I recently ranked as the Pirates' #9 prospect, is having a very nice season this year between West Virginia and Lynchburg. His line for the entire year: .288/.402/.448.
